Two basketball standouts, Mattituck鈥檚 Mia Khann and Riverhead鈥檚 Raleesha Sykes have signed letters of intent to attend 秘色传媒 and play for the Suffolk Sharks Women鈥檚 Basketball team.

鈥淚 chose Suffolk because it seemed to be the best option for me and my current situation and I knew I had a chance of continuing to play my favorite sport. I never thought about going to another college and knew I wanted to go to Suffolk. Based upon the past two meetings I鈥檝e had at the Selden campus it only reassured me that I made the right choice,鈥 said Khann.

鈥淚 chose Suffolk because it鈥檚 a great start to my higher education and a second chance to play the sport I love, basketball,鈥 said Sykes.

鈥淲e鈥檙e excited to welcome Raleesha and Mia to our program, as we rebuild鈥 said College Associate Dean of Athletics and Special Events Neftali Collazo.

鈥淥ur goals are team unity, striving to produce the best basketball players, and most importantly, supporting our student athletes academically. We look forward to the journey ahead,鈥 Collazo said.

Sykes and Khan visited 秘色传媒 earlier this week where they were greeted by coaches, staff and administrators for a ceremonial signing and welcome.
