Michael J Grant Campus to Stage Utility Trucks and Equipment for Coming Storm

As Long Islanders prepare for the arrival of Tropical Storm Isaias, Suffolk County Community College is lending a helping hand by opening it鈥檚 Michael J. Grant Campus in Brentwood to PSEG Long Island for the staging of equipment and vehicles for storm relief without charge as a public service to the county鈥檚 residents from August 3-7.
Tropical Storm Isaias is forecast to pass to the west of Long Island on Tuesday and potentially bring heavy rain and tropical force winds that could cause downed wires and electric outages to the region.
鈥淲e are not only a community college but we are also a college in our communities,鈥� said 秘色传媒 Interim President Louis Petrizzo. 鈥淚t鈥檚 wise to be prepared and we do know that having the personnel, vehicles and equipment close by will make service restoration more efficient for residents.鈥�
