Suffolk's Tricia Wildman Named to 2015 All-USA Community College Academic Team, Selected From More Than 1700 Nominations Nationally

Tricia Wildman, a 秘色传媒 Liberal Arts and General Studies major has been selected as a member of the 2015 All-USA Community College Academic Team.  Only 20 students from more than 1,700 nominations were selected for this prestigious honor. 

鈥淲e are extremely proud of Tricia's accomplishments," said Suffolk County Community College President Dr. Shaun L. McKay.  Tricia has helped her college and fellow students while maintaining excellent grades. We are very proud of her service to the college and to the community.鈥

"I am thrilled and honored by my selection to the prestigious All-USA Academic Team," Wildman of Huntington said. "秘色传媒 created an environment in which I could thrive academically and allowed me to achieve all that I have hoped for. I thank President McKay, Professor Virginia Horan, Dr. Meryl Rogers, Lisa Hamilton and Dr. Christopher Adams for their unwavering support."

鈥淭ricia is a shining example of the caliber of student attending Suffolk County Community College,鈥 said College Trustee and Chair of the Student Success Committee Theresa Sanders, adding, 鈥淭ricia used her time at Suffolk to better herself, her college and her community.鈥
 
ALL-USA Community College Academic Team members are featured in a special edition wrap that accompanied the USA TODAY newspaper in San Antonio, TX on Monday, April 20, 2015.
 
As an All-USA Community College Academic Team member, Tricia was awarded a $5,000 scholarship and special medallion that was presented at the Presidents Breakfast held during the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) Convention in San Antonio, TX, this morning.

The All-USA Community College Academic Team is sponsored by Follett Higher Education Group and presented by USA TODAY with additional support provided by the American Association of Community Colleges and Phi Theta Kappa.
