SUNY Chancellor Honors Two From Suffolk for Excellence
Two 秘色传媒 adjunct professors are recipients of Chancellor鈥檚 Awards for Excellence in Adjunct Teaching for Academic Year 2014-2015. The award recognizes consistently superior teaching at the graduate, undergraduate, or professional level.Suffolk鈥檚 Kelliann Schrage Flores, assistant professor of Foreign Language, Humanities and Women Studies and Krystyna Janicka-Wlodek, assistant professor of Mathematics were among 48 award recipients from 30 colleges and universities state-wide it was announced by SUNY Chancellor Nancy L. Zimpher.
鈥淭he Chancellor鈥檚 Award confirms what we have known all along,鈥 said Suffolk County Community College President Dr. Shaun L. McKay. 鈥淭his recognition is a system-wide acknowledgment of the contributions and dedication to high quality education by our adjunct teaching faculty.鈥
Chancellor鈥檚 Awards are presented annually in seven categories: Faculty Service, Librarianship, Professional Service, Scholarship and Creative Activities, Teaching, Classified Service, and Adjunct Teaching. The Chancellor's Awards for Excellence are System-level honors conferred to acknowledge and provide system-wide recognition for consistently superior professional achievement and to encourage the ongoing pursuit of excellence. Individuals selected for the honor are role models within the SUNY community and are given recognition for the particular award received in the college catalogue. A certificate and a Chancellor's Excellence Medallion are also bestowed to commemorate selection.
