Suffolk's Annual Gala Most Successful Ever, Will Fund Scholarships.

faculty members and more than 1500 adjunct members; Richard 鈥淒ick鈥� O鈥橩ane, president
of the Nassau-Suffolk Building and Construction Trades Council.Honored posthumously was Suffolk County Legislator and Presiding Officer William J. Lindsay.
The Suffolk Community College Foundation organizes and hosts the annual gala. This year鈥檚 Salute to Excellence Gala 鈥淭he Year of Labor鈥� was the foundation鈥檚 most successful ever. Proceeds will be used to fund need and merit-based scholarships, emergency student loans and quality academic enrichment programs. The Foundation distributed $500,000 in scholarships last year.

Presiding Officer DuWayne Gregory. The new science building is expected to be completed
this fall and open for student use in January 2015.
Patricia Lindsay reviews the rendering of the new Life Sciences Building to be named
in her husband's honor.
